DAY 44. All together now

HI, GIRLS AND BOYS!! 

As I do in my music lessons on Fridays, I´d try to use popular songs and groups, taking examples of the variety that we can find. And of course, giving them the opportunity to listen and value ANY KIND OF MUSIC. 

As a huge fan (as many of you, I´m sure), I´d like to talk about

THE BEATLES.

There were 4 friends from Liverpool (England) who decided to form a music band and composed hundreds of songs. Last Christmas, I had this book as a present and I would like to recommend it if you really are a music lover as I am. It´s in spanish, but it´s an INCREDIBLE BOOK´S COLLECTION :) 

Also, Yellow Submarine is a 1968 British animated film inspired by the music of the Beatles. If you´ve got the opportinity to watching it (or maybe just shot pieces), it´s a good choice.

¡Hola niños y niñas!

Como suelo hacer en mis sesiones de MÚSICA los viernes, me gusta usar canciones y música "popular", tomando algunos ejemplos sobre la variedad que podemos encontrar. Y sobre todo, dando la oportunidad de escuchar y valorar CUALQUIER TIPO DE MÚSICA. 

Como gran fan (seguro que como muchos de vosotr@s), me gustaría hablar de LOS BEATLES. Eran 4 amigos de Liverpool (Inglaterra) que decidieron formar una banda de música y compusieron cientos de canciones. En las pasadas Navidades, recibí este libro-regalo y me gustaría recomendarlo, sobre todo, si sois tan amantes de la música como yo lo soy. Está en español, pero es una colección de libros ALUCINANTES. 

Además, Yellow Submarine es una película animada de 1968 inspirada en la música de los Beatles. Si tenéis la oportunidad de verla (o en pequeños trozos) es una muy buena elección. 

Si necesitamos algo de relajación, también usamos estas canciones. La última canción es conocida para los niños y niñas, que la trabajamos en clase con intrumentos. ¿La recordáis? Disfrutadla.

DAY 43. The mixed up chameleon

Hello Hello!

It´s storytime… so open your ears and close your mouth ♫

Today, I would like to show you "THE MIXED-UP CHAMELEON" by Eric Carle. This writer and ilustrator is noted for other great books such as "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?" or "From Head to Toe". I couldn´t tell you which one it´s my favourite. 

Today´s story

In 1993, they decided to anímate some of these amazing tales in a TV movie called "The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Stories". I´m still trying to find them all… because they are SMASHING!!!!! 

Give a try on this, a chameleon who learns a great lesson about being himself.

¡Hola, hola! Es hora del cuento... así que abrid los oídos y cerrad la boca :) Hoy quiero enseñaros el cuento titulado en español "El camaleón camaleónico", de Eric Carle. Este escritor e ilustrador también es conocido por otras obras como "La oruga glotona", "Oso pardo, oso pardo, ¿qué ves ahí?" o "De la cabeza a los pies". No podría deciros cual es mi favorito. 

En 1993, decidieron crear una adaptación animada de esta y otras historias que aún sigo buscando todas porque son... ¡ALUCINANTES! Dadle una oportunidad a esta en concreto, un camaleón que aprende una gran lección sobre como ser él mismo.

Then, you can print these paper sheet (depends on your class, have a look under them), complete it and don´t forget to colour it!! (YOU KNOW I LOVE COLOURS EVERYWHERE!).

¡Hola a tod@s! Vamos a trabajar en esta MAÑANA DEL MARTES! Hoy toca contar, ¿estáis listos? Aquí tenéis algunas canciones sobre números. Después, podeís imprimir estas fichas (depende de vuestra clase, mirad justo debajo de cada una), completarla y no os olvideis de colorearla (ya sabéis que adoro los colores). Si no tenéis impresora, no pasa nada. Probar a hacerlo con la tablet o con el ordenador usando vuestro dedo. Si tenéis más dificultades, no dudéis en contármelo. Cuando terminéis, mandadme un e-mail con vuestros resultados.

¡Buenos días niños y niñas! Es lunes. Espero que hayáis tenido un maravilloso fin de semana y que si habéis pasado algo de tiempo en las calles me contéis qué tal ha ido. 

Esta semana vamos a continuar con ANIMALES. Hoy, vamos a ver esta canción llamada "Vamos al zoo". Estaría genial que la repoduzcáis y os mováis como hacen los animales. English time on FRIDAY!! 

Don´t you think it´s very important to spend some time resting and relaxing? Sometimes we forget this heathly habits and we really need them in our daily routines. 

Today, I would like to suggest you this YOGA ACTIVITY. Very very very funny and interesting. You just need to follow the instructions and try to relax, listening to the following story.

¿No creéis que es muy importante pasar algo de tiempo descansando y relajándonos? A veces, nos olvidamos de estos hábitos saludables y realmente los necesitamos en nuestras rutinas. 

Hoy, me gustaría sugeriros esta actividad de YOGA. Es muy muy divertida e interesante. Solo necesitáis seguir la sintrucciones y tratar de relajaron, escuchando las siguiente historia ("La oruga glotona").

DAY 37. HAPPY BOOK´S DAY!

Happy book´s day, everyone!!! 


As you maybe know, today we celebrate the BOOK´S DAY. On these difficult days, I think books are being more friends than ever. 

Because of that, I have chosen THIS wonderful story called: 

"CHARLIE COOK´S FAVOURITE BOOK" by Julia Donaldson and Axel Sheffler.

Como ya sabréis, hoy celebramos el DÍA DEL LIBRO. En estos días tan difíciles, creo que los libros están siendo más nuestros amigos que nunca. Por eso, he elegido esta maravillosa historia titulada en español "El cuento sin fin de Martín". Ahí me tenéis a mí, con mi cuento favorito y un vídeo con la historia. 

Podéis decirme vuestra parte favorita del cuento. 

En nuestro cole, se está preparando un video para celebrar este día. Tendréis que mandar una foto, como la mía, con vuestro libro/cuento favorito (sin enseñar vuestra cara, así la podremos mostrar a todos los compañeros). No importa si está en español o en cualquier otro idioma. Tendréis hasta el 28 de abril, próximo miércoles, para mandarlas. . 

Nuestro compañero Héctor de 4 años, me mandó la semana pasada este dibujo ALUCINANTE sobre "Dónde habitan los monstruos". ¡Buen trabajo, Héctor!

Today it´s WEDNESDAY, but let´s leave the storytelling for tomorrow (book´s day).

As you maybe know, we celebrate the EARTH DAY.

You can have a look on the NASA´S WEB. There, you will find lots and lots of interesting stuff about the space and our planet. Check it up if you like this topic. On our school´s web, you´ll find too some information about this day. 

Maybe it´s time to think about what can we do to keep our planet save, blue and shiny. It´s our responsability to TAKE CARE OF IT. 

Because of it, we are going to refresh our PEACE DAY SONG. Do you remember the lyrics? Can you sing it? I made this video last January and the kids loved it!

¡Hola niños y niñas! Hoy es MIÉRCOLES, pero vamos a dejar el cuento para mañana (día del libro). Como ya sabréis, hoy celebramos el día de la TIERRA. Podéis visitar la web de la NASA. Allí encontraréis mucha información sobre el espacio y sobre nuestro planeta. Dadle un vistazo si os interesa este tema. También en la web de nuestro cole hay más cosas sobre este día. 

Quizás es momento de pensar en lo que podemos hacer por mantener nuestro planeta a salvo, azul y brillante. Es nuestra responsabilidad cuidarlo. Por eso, vamos a volver a tomar la canción del DÍA DE LA PAZ. ¿Recordáis la letra? ¿Podéis cantarla? Monté este vídeo el pasado Enero y a los niñ@s les encantó. 

Recordad.... hay que curar a la tierra.
